Intex launches hunt for ambassador

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 1st of March 2018

An Australasian supplier of the world’s best drywalling tools is today beginning the hunt for its first-ever brand ambassador.

The chosen Intex ambassador will win almost $20,000 worth of tools and become a leading figure in the New Zealand drywalling industry.

To apply, contestants only need to submit a short video of themselves on Facebook explaining why they should be the inaugural Intex Ambassador.

Intex Marketing Consultant Jason Suckling says it’s a massive opportunity for the right person.

“As well as receiving almost $20,000 worth of kit, the ambassador will be given huge opportunities to build their profile. We’ll have them present instructional videos and talk at trade events throughout the year.

“We’re looking for someone who is not only a great drywaller but also a great person that people in the industry like and trust. They have to be articulate, friendly, charismatic, and highly skilled — those are the requirements.”

“We’ve got a reputation for supplying the best tools in the industry, but we wanted a way to show drywallers how to make the most of our tools, and a brand ambassador will be able to do just that,” Suckling says.

“We’re planning lots of exciting things with our ambassador and want him or her to pass on their expertise to other drywallers. We want to give back to the industry by helping everyone upskill and learn from the best.”

The video entry to be submitted can be as simple as a self-recorded video on a smartphone. “It’s the quality of the character, not the recording, which counts,” Suckling explains.

“Having said that, we’re keen to see how creative people can get with their video entries. Blow us away.”

Video entries for the ambassador programme close on April 12th with shortlisted contestants chosen by end of April. From there, follow up interviews will help the judging panel decide the winning contestant.
